If it is fresh, you could use it anywhere a 6800uf cap would be. It is an odd value, but power supplies are not usually all that critical.
A better question is should you use it at all. How old is it? Electrolytic caps have a shelf life. It may be new and unused, but if it is 20 years old, I don't know that I would put it in anything

It's very super new from what it looks like. except the two leads coming from it are not very long but i could still attach some wires to it if i wrapped them around it. I wonder what I could use it for....

i think that's probably exactly what it's used for 🙂 maybe I could use it for one of my AC to DC bridge rectifiers.. it would be perfect for this.
