I'm rearranging the internal layout of a Whammy (headphone amplifier)
Originally it was equipped with a 50k rk27 potentiometer.
I also have a 10k rk27..
Could be better?
Probably a lower input impedance captures less noise, but I wouldn't want any negative interaction to form with the 2.2k input resistors and the 1uf capacitors that follow.
Advice?

I could always eliminate the 2.2k resistors.

You could try it but you're changing the input impedance front 52K to 10K which is increasing the load on your source equipment. Depending on what you have you may lose bass response.
The 10k will be fine, if you don't mind the 1.7dB loss in level, which is not much.
Any solid state source will be able to drive the 10k pot.
