Same here.Home page has too much whitespace.
Thread titles are too big, and bold.
https://www.diyaudio.com/community/ only shows 9 threads without scrolling. Everything is too big (when comparing to another forum I frequent).
In my view, a mistake.
Like many others, optimized for phones, not so much for aTech site which is better viewed on PC/Notebook screens (hint: schematics/blueprints/detailed pictures/user manuals or brochures)
In a TECH oriented site, data density is a GOOD thing.
Thank you for taking the time to reply to our feedback, Jason!
On disabling mobile view... Apparently the website detects that it's being visited by a mobile client, and thus provides the content in a mobile view. Personally I don't like this particular mobile view (line spacing, line breaks, paragraphs, too much scrolling...). Many websites offer to switch to a Desktop Theme or otherwise allow to disable mobile view. Mouser Electronics' option is, quite fittingly imo, labeled "View Full Site".
The only way to disable mobile view right now is to tell the browser itself to use the desktop site, but it's not permanent.
And I like the classic theme btw, much more info fitting on the screen.

Ok. In addition to my previous response.
Tried the new forum on my phone and I can say that the new experience is miles better.
So; yes fan on smartphones.
No fan for desktop.

All looking very pretty, and once the density of the posts is increased I'll be a happy man.
One thing I can't find is a 'mark ALL forums read' button. I can mark individual forums as read, but not the whole dang thing in one go.

Congratulations to those responsible for the graphic reformulation work. It was very interesting.
Well done to the designers, the site is now "mobile friendly" but still very familiar when used on the desktop.
Yes, that works fine for me on my desktop computer. On my mobile, it's not so great.Firstly, you can access it right now with two clicks - the "kitchen sink" menu to the right of "members", then "watched threads".
Another question: is it possible to change the font? The current font (Roboto) may be pretty, but I find it harder to read than the font used with the old site. It's a bit like listening fatigue -- Roboto makes me want to turn off the screen.
Sorry team, finding it much slower to scan for info. Scrolling impedes scanning, I want my eyes to do the moving not the page. Not enough info on one page. Any way we can bring back the old layout? Or are there some settings that would make a difference?
Cheers,
Mike

I accessed the site from a bookmark and ..WOW I was pleasantly surprised: am I in the right forum?
Very nice all around except...
The page numbers are on the left side not the right side where it used to be: when scrolling the mouse pointer is usually on the right side of the page, so when I want to go to a page number I have to move the mouse pointer across the page.
Is it too late to change?
Same for Report Edit Delete. However if everyone is OK with it I am fine.
Attach files is in the simple reply page that is great! However.. again could we move it to the right? Not sure how left-handers do this...

1st impression: very nice! Modern, easy to read, and I love the new way attachments thumbnails are shown. I miss the previous way to show a list of many posts as a single-line list; the new layout needs much more scrolling. After a 36 hour marathon migration, we have our new home!
It was important for us to get off our old software as soon as possible, rather than wait for the new software to be perfect. Your bug reports and constructive feedback are welcome. They will help guide us make the right decisions to improve the site in the future, and to clean up any issues.
Planning, development and migration was performed in partnership with Xenforo experts Audentio. You might see some of them chime in to this discussion thread.
PS make sure you check out the theme chooser which gives you three theme options - light, dark, and classic.
I will need some time to absorb it all of course, aka as 'user burn-in' ;-)

thanks, I followed your suggestion 🙂There are options for full width, no sidebar. Works for me, I had the same initial reaction.
Thanks Allen, just did, on 940 suggestion 🙂@JMFahey, at the top of your screen next to Forums/Marketplace/Members you will find a button which opens a menu. You can change width and toggle the sidebar.
Link: https://www.diyaudio.com/community/posts/6873363/Jason is there a plan to migrate signatures, or should be set them up again?

Its good but i feel that things have been made simpler than it should be. Also the timeestamp (under each thread on when the last reply was made) would actually discourage ppl from looking at older threads (bcuz ppl are always drawn to newer things) and their ideas will die out quicker
