I find it strange but manageable. Part of the learning curve I dare say.
Looks more up to date.
I will have a play as soon as I get the spare time.
Well done.

Ikt looks good, but to much wasted space in the layout i think.
I prefer dark mode layout, but the others are not to bad neighter.
The reply screen looks much better, and i hope the attachement part is a bit more up to date (bigger resolution pictures and so).
And in general it looks like a smooth transistion, i've seen much worse in the past. So thanks

No, I don't believe the setting is there at the moment. Making adjustments to the forum is going to happen for some time and it is something that many are interested in. I used to use 50 per page.@AllenB you know if setting number post x page is still there ? I cannot find
This was done by hovering over your username, not clicking it although that will work too.have an option to view the original avatar picture in full size by clicking on it.

Well done to all who put in the work for the upgrade. Looks good with the classic theme. I like the live updating of new posts. Grindstone's comments are interesting and worth considering - post #118.
I look forward to the refinements over the coming months.

Yes, click on search up near your username on the right. You can then choose where to search. Is searching within a thread possible with diyAudio's new platform?
It would be nice to have a "denser" theme too. With the huge fonts and only 12~13 posts visible on the screen, I feel like I am using a toy tablet for 6-year oldsI know where you're coming from!
Don't stress - Flags are missed and will be returning, they are on the todo list. I think they were important to as you say be "personable" and add a unique charm to the place that showcases our global membership.
User's post count was always hidden, but maybe you mean post count somewhere else.
There is a "classic" theme you can choose, to see the old colors.

All 3 themes ("light", "dark" and "classic") will be improved over the coming weeks. The classic theme will continue to get closer to the theme of the last site, as much as we can get it there.
We need a way to change the number of newest threads you can see on the home page. I had this set to 200 before and could quickly catch up, this was my main way of using the website. The only way I can see to increase the amount now is to click load more? I'm not going to click load more as it's a pain I'm going to close DIYAudio instead, which isn't good. Either add in a feature to increase the amount you can view or add in an infinite scroll feature where it automatically keeps loading in more threads if you keep scrolling.
Thanks.
Thanks.
Have you tried setting the font size to extra large, under preferences? It would be nice to have a "denser" theme too. With the huge fonts and only 12~13 posts visible on the screen, I feel like I am using a toy tablet for 6-year olds
The new website looks great and is very refreshing to use. Even the classic theme some how looks better than the original. I'm sure this change will help attract new users to the forum.
Not sure if this is a feature on any forum, or if it would be possible, but since development seems to be in full swing at the moment..
When logged in, would it be possible to have a recent thread button that when pressed will show you the past 4/5 threads you have visited? The button could be by the notifications button. I think this would be a helpful feature on every forum. Forgive me if there's something like this in place already🙂

love the functionality, thank you for your effort!
classic theme is a good beginning to theme this board away from an all too common appearance. and although I have not used a flag myself, due to personal considerations when it comes to nation states, I think they should come back. they were a distinct feature.
I do also agree that surveying the site is not as easy anymore. the modern themes are meant to optimize readability of individual posts but forget that overview is as important. maybe some css-ing can fine-tune this. there is one thing: I have problems to use the jump up/down buttons and use them frequently, they are a bit tiny. thanks

I only use laptop for the forum.
In the previous format, I was able to see a lot more threads / information on one screen without scrolling.
For me, the new appearance is not an improvement.
But just my personal view.
