I bought this amp about a month ago and had nothing but trouble with it. It would go into protection when ever it felt like it shut off at any random time and just shut off when driving it very hard for no reason i could find. I took the amp completely apart and re soldered all the main power to board connections abd any suspect solder joints but had no luck. I just found this today wondering if anyone has ever seen it? I also happened to have two audiobahn power lugs from a blown amp that was to damaged so I could just repair it now it works great.

Yeah, I've seen a few. Once on an older mtx, it actually got so hot that the solder melted loose and left a gap, lol. Another was an audiobahn and another on an older alpine. Awesome that you got it figured out 🙂
I have an intake amp here that got wet, inside looks good though outputs are blown. Only damage I see is power terminals got wet and corroded inside under plastic...so I am looking at them and tried to ease plastic cover off....and the whole thing fell out of the board in my hand! Note the solders looked ok and not damaged, everything inside amp looks dry/fine. Maybe it got dropped or something not sure, pins on lugs are fine and all solder is on board. Or maybe that is why better amps screw them to the board then solder. That was all three power lugs fell out at once, and had been screwed to case through plastic cover that was not broken....don't know what happened and not fixed it yet.
