Have a Clarion head unit which has a set of rca cables(front) going into a 5 channel amp to power cabin speakers, another set of rca plugs(rear) that run to a 2 channel amp to power tower speakers. Last weekend used the fader to take sound from cabin speakers, and all was fine. When we went back out, used the fader to put sound back to cabin and lost tower sound. Troubleshooting the problem, I switched the rca plugs to check if output was not being sent to tower speakers. In other words, just switch front and rear channels from head unit. This test shows that output signal was on all rca plugs(channels). So tested amp. Ran rca cables from iPhone into amp, turned on music and got sound through amp and into tower speakers. There is a set of rca extension cables from head unit to amp, so tested these cables and seemed fine, but installed a known set of working rca cables, but still nothing.
So any rca output going to tower amp does not play, but verified that amp and speakers work. Any ideas on what is wrong or any other troubleshooting ideas?
