I'm delighted that you like our EQ design so much - that's all I can say right now.
Perhaps:
welcome.

Sure, Catd... Commercial operations exist to help people make a living, not just survive on bread and water. But have you ever opened a Project Phono Box that costs 100 euros? Try it and have fun!
I, however, didn't have much fun looking inside, considering I spent my money on it. Apart from a solid metal case, there wasn’t much else to be found. Even the power supply is ridiculous. But how much would a pre-assembled OREAD with a power supply, but without a case, connectors, or cables cost... just as an example?

Here is a short video for a repair... I'm not sure if I did the right thing by posting it.

I am not expecting much RIAA deviation however i am very close to CD response at both the low and top end.
The idea being making this cartridge sound better then an MC cart.
I am blaming slightly fuzzy top end on the Conical tip.
I also have the ATvm95C cart but will get the ML stylus.

about the price for a fully assembled OREAD + power supply, only circuit boards:
This is an estimate, not an offer!
Circuit boards + parts approx. 80 €
Working time at least 1 day/8 hours (measuring, selecting, matching and fitting the parts, assembling, testing).
How much do you think is a reasonable hourly wage for these activities?
Judging by your photo, the price for the Phono Box is completely reasonable.
There are also development costs that have to be taken into account.

Hello @Io NoDiyAudio
I suspect that this equalizer Phono Box S2 ultra cannot be topped (by far) in terms of price-performance ratio. The inexpensive mass production in low-wage countries will make this possible. When you look at it closely, building it yourself is actually not worth it. When you build it yourself, it's all about the fun factor and the individual touch. An OREAD kit could be offered for around €120, and the seller would probably recoup his own expenses in no time - and from that point onwards would make an unimaginable profit on the sale of each subsequent OREAD.
An honest price for the kit would be around 30€. That would be the low quality version without any labor costs etc.
So, it's really a difficult decision: build it yourself or buy an S2ultra?!
But the normal PhonoBox also seems to be very popular. However, the correct termination of the MM pickup is still extremely important.
I wish you lots of luck and joy,
warm greetings to Italy

@Io NoDiyAudio
do you mean this kit ?
why not - just try it out, complete kits are ideal for starting a new hobby. Please report on your progress, you can start your own discussion thread.
I look forward to it, good luck

It looks fine.(...) It's testing very close to CD response at 100k 100pf .
More tweaking it will be there.
Question:
