I have a sick Yamaha LS9-32 digital mixer. The switch matrix is very hard to fault find, and would be simpler with a the service test program

As a service center, I looked on the support site, and the only document available was a flash ROM update. They had to replace the Toshiba flash ROM with another part and it required adding a cap and resistor. No service manual or other diagnostics. However I did find in the download section some firmware things, See if this link helps you:

Thanks Enzo for looking. In the service manual they have a "check program" which enables you to test all features of the console. This is loaded on to a windows PC, Apparently it is downloadable via YSiSS
I have emailed them to see if I can get access.
The older consoles and other brands allowed you to boot into test mode, but they seem to have gone away from that

Maybe Yamaha has moved beyond me, my support is through YCAsupport.com, which is part of Yamaha of America. Oh, I see the subtext is indeed YSISS, never noticed that before. Do you have access to that? That is where I found no service manual.
Did you look at the help file from my link? There were a number of downloads for the LS9 series in addition to that help file.

YSISS is stated in the LS9 service manual which I have. Apparently the service test program
can be downloaded from the YSISS site, I can not get at this stage, although IM trying.
Funny enough I have been repairing Yamaha products for 20 plus years.
In Australia they are very closed doors to independant repairers. I imagine due to doggy repairers out there. (Which I am not)

How did you get your service manual? I haven't searched for one, but none is listed on my support site.
Does my help file link work for you?
I don't know what it is like in the upside down part of the world, but in the USA, as a pro audio repair shop, I did not find Yamaha difficult to connect with. I have retired, but I was doing Yamaha warranty work the last 30 years.

Yamaha Australia is very closed shop, for reasons unknown.
They have been selling me parts for over 25 years, and even offered me technical advise.
They have not Authorised me to do "official repair work"
I have repaired hundreds of Yamaha bits of gear.
As for the LS9-32 I downloaded the service manual of the Web.
I ended up solving the issue with the LS9,
Which was in the switch matrix for one of the processors.
A defective led was drawing to much current causing the matrix to lock up.
(simple terms) Was a tease to find. Thanks Enzo for your reply.
