WTB Wanted TDA1576 demodulator chip (USA)

Wanted to buy
I think the desirability of that chip is low to none existing to bother with a fake version . I wanted to check if that chip used in the best Fm tuner in the word made by the best tuner designer in the world was malfunctioning because the radio sounded like a crp.. Aparemtly ,by the manufacturer it was operating like it should and radio was performing to specs. Obviously I and the guy who bought the radio are pterodactyls from bygone era.

ok, limono, enquiring minds want to know - which tuner are you referring to? 😉

i have a plethora of tuners and the best are so close to each other in sound, it takes a direct blind a-b to differentiate, and even then, the differences are small.

i'm trying to resurrect my first true audiophile tuner, and its designer says if the caps adjacent to the 1576 are properly working then the 1576 is not operating properly, based on the voltage readings i get from its legs.

Hi, I have 7 pieces of original Philips TDA1576 from last century. I can send you all for free and also 3 pieces of RCA CA3089E, 5 pieces of Motorola TCA4500A stereo decoder.
I will be happy if you can use them.

Csaba
