Dont get me worng... the hole speed mechanism has been a pain in my a@$ as well!
Trough the 10 or more TT i built (all lenco based) until now, i never managed to figure out a good, simple and easy to use speed mechanism, unless i used the old top plate (which means i used the original speed control). all the mechanism i made worked, they all kept the speed over time, but the were all hard to recalibrate, and made the idea of switching from 33 to 45 a pain.
Of course, i can always create a very elaborate mechanism, similar to the origianl one, and be happy with it - but i always try to use as little parts in my designes as possible, so thats gonna be a problem.
Ill tell you what, you made me want to go back to the drawing board! ill give it some work tnight and see what i come up with.

May be like that ? By the way, I do not need to change from 33 to 45. So, I just need some finetuning on the 33 speed.
