I was looking around at my mates place while he was dealing with his wife factor. She liked the smaller satellites he was considering but went hysterical when he mentioned the size of the subs.
She actually fainted at the thought of those big beautiful subs.
While she was in her safe faint place, he said, "I'll have to hide the subs somehow."
Then it hit me! Like a sledge Hammer mate, yes, ideas can hit you physically.
Refrigerators! Yes it is in the kitchen but the kitchen overlooks the family room so it will work well.
They have this pigeon pair, huge thing all stainless steel!
Cut a big hole near the top of the door and fit the sub in their. There is lots more room on the door so why not go a four way. Yes, it all fits easily.
Now, port it out of the top! With a port mounted externally. The port needs to go as high up as you can get it so that the cold air doesn't get pushed out and replaced with warm air.
Put the plate amp in the freezer, it will stay much cooler in there!
Glue some thin rubber sheet over all of the shelves to suppress internal rattles caused by things like Vegemite, beer and wine bottles.
You will have to design your system manually, unless your software caters for low temperatures.
Now you have your very own pair of cool speakers.
You can also swap modes, open the doors and see what open baffle is like!
I think this may work 😛
Can I get some help please.

When I got home to my place, I was talking to my doggy as I walked into the laundry.
The washing machine and dryer are the same internal volume!
They already have the hole cut out for you, just remove the glass.
Just measured them, 250mm / 10 inch.
Awesome!
My son has a racing car bed, he now wants a sound system in it.
Fair enough I said! Another project just like that.

Working in my son's bedroom.
It occurs to me why not go down to get volume.
So, under the bed where it can't be seen, cut a hole in the concrete raft floor.
Get a hole digger and dig down until you have the right volume. Line it with sewer pipe.
Could I use the house sewer system as the port do you think?
Hey, it is under the bed, no one will ever know it is there.

😀 Yeah one can find very creative ways to hide the bass section. Speakers disappear into the walls or into the furniture, why not into the appliances as well 😀 Use more smaller subs instead of one big, should work better for the sound and for the decorator. One could put a sub into a closet as well, the lows transmit through to the listening room. Bluetooth the sound to your car (sub) outside and let the neighbor enjoy it too.
You could also make a sub deeper but otherwise the same size as your TV.
Most TVs are getting really big, just a foot of depth would get you a lot of volume.
Mine is is about 12 square feet so 12 cubic feet for every foot of depth.
Hides the sub behind the TV.
one of these ideas has to work.

What do you mean?
The fridge will still work, why wouldn't it.
Just that when you get your beer out, you change from ported to open baffle for a short time.
