Have you built the Holton AV800 amp
... or just N-channel ?
DVD with lotto'schematics? sounds
cool.....
Got any ideas for mods for the
AV800? such as;
...... any add-on circuits or mods, ie protection, clipping indicators,
anything .. kewl ..
I'm always trying to find elegant solutions

Trying to avoid speakers catching
on flames

Im in the middle of gathering the parts for the av800. Id like to sell the n-channel. i dont use it. It was my frist amp though. Protection on my amps neh.! Nothing but fuses on them that is about it. I might think about it later on but i never push my amps to there extent of blowing.
first pic works great meter does not jump around it hovers at the v the amp is pumping out🙂 now to make a nice face plate for my meter maybe some blue l.e.d for a back lite hmm mr pass can i copy yours
just joking 🙄

all the above presume that you are going to modify a meter face to replicate VU. If you use a diode in the feedback loop you can actually measure log units on a linear scale -- see National Semi's application notes on logarithmic and exponential amplifiers.

Hi Karma, I'd liked to know if this is the layout that you are using for your meter and how is working right now. Also can you tell me the values of resistor, capacitor and diodes.Thanks in advance.
