VTL TL2.5 preamp remote poor range.

Have one where the IR remote works of, but only up to around 2 feet (0.6M). Batteries are good. Anyone met this and have a fix?.
Have tried replacing sender IR LED - did not help.

Hi can you tell me how you changed the diode, did you change just the diode in the silvef box, or did you change the whole assemby and just put a diode on the board, and also what model or make of diode did you use .thanks

Check if the receiving sensor is not blocked, shifted, or partly obscured.

yes it looks ok, i was thinking of taking it out of circuit and doing the test with voltmeter and diode with 5 volt power supply.how did you change yous what ir receiver diode did you use
