Hi, I would like to buy this amplifier, unfortunately it is only one unit. We see two EL34s with white heads, they have lost their vacuum. What could have happened? Can they be overheated? The power plug is 230V Italian, do you know if this model is also compatible with this voltage? Is it worth buying to refurbish it and what would be a fair price to buy it?

In Germany Mr. Rainer Röder is an expert concerning this and other models from VTL.

yes, the old MEPCO ones from the initial equipment still work. But If I connect an additional (new) cap like those under
https://www.ebay.de/itm/204821199246 (KEMET ALS30A471KE500)
in parallel mode to the already present old ones, sonic performance is clearly better in all respects.
This is the reason why I want to replace the old ones.

Have you looked at reichelt.com?
Maybe snap-in capacitors can be adapted as well.
