I could accept that Mr. Malichi Constant was upset with my leadership...

Your leadership????
Where? what? que? who? when?:clown:
Come back to earth Peter, only some very few people take you seriously.
I was not expecting to see this words written by you.:whazzat:

That's your conscience.😀

Please, don't remind me all of the very good members that went away.:cannotbe: 🙁

Cheerleader or Cheer Leader?

I should may be rename this thread the "leadership transformer's battle"...

Elso, you can may be find some spare time to update your SPDIF output/input schematic using an AD810 as the AOP603 is no longer available or with difficulty !

What about to use specialised circuit (as serial amp/buffer from AD) instead of opamp?
Salut Stef,
Cheerleadership you bet!
I am not too interested in SPDIF anymore as I am using I2S Direct.

I did not try the AD810 and the circuit with the OPA603 is a working one. I only post working schematics!

😎

What leadership? Maybe Cheerleader...........? [joke]:clown:

Since you are on Fred's mailing list you should know better what leadership crap he's talking about. I didn't start it and I don't aspire to anything. But it seems like he does.

With due respect, your jokes remind of Jocko sense of humour, which as usually, doesn't make much sense.

Cheerleader or a Sheer Leader [joke]

Hi Peter,
I maybe on Fred's mailing list but that does not mean Fred and I are buddies, oh no.....
Not being aware of, you gave me a big compliment. My humour as good as Jocko's, wooow.......
Please note the spelling as I intended in the title line.:clown: {Not easy making jokes in a foreign language:bawling:}

Hi Elso!

I've something not understood by me on your schematic.

How to manage the ground?

In the original VRDS schematic. The CINCH ground is connected to R61 and C62. It's isolated from the common ground.

What to do with this if we use the OPA603 schematic? We should connect it to the common ground?

Another question. Can the OPA603 work at +/-5V?

+/-12V is not available on the servo pcb. We only have regulated +/-5V and an +/-10V but unregulated (this one, will be good for the clock). +/-12V is only available on the audio pcb.

Hi Stef,
I dunno, I connected the digital ground of the player with the digital ground of the DAC. AD810 works on +/-5V. See the datasheet for the OPA603.😎

Yes, both AD810 and AOP603 seems to work at +/- 5V according to the spec sheet. AD810 seems to be "better" at low voltage than AOP603.

If I have understood, low voltage reduce bandwidth. If I remember, we need 8/10 Mhz for spdif. We have enough marging as AD810 can manage 50Mhz at this voltage.

But the most important, what should be the gain? Of this depend the feedback resistor. And I have not really understood how to calculate this.

Just to know, I finished to change all my ecaps. The VRDS works fine. I also replaced c55/c56 by one unique polypro caps. This works. I'll prefer to say that I was not able to ear the difference during my first test.
