Voltage

Hello.

I like the concept of class D since heard from it but don't have the skills to understand it completly but I have a question for you.

Is it praticly possible to alter a UcD module (or other class d)
to make it's output voltage go trough the roof (for electrostatic speakers)
It does not have to increase in Watts, but the voltage has to be 1kV minimum.
And another problem is that electrostatic panels do normaly have a very low impedance.

My inspiration that i would like to avoid the BIG trafo's that are used for this purpose and to drive electrostatic panels.

Sorry for possible complete idiotness in this post!:smash:

Greetings

In a word, no. You'd need output mosfets that can handle that voltage and a high side driver circuit that could as well. Maybe you could use a transformer that steps up the voltage though.
