Voltage Supply Question?

I've had quite a few of the Toroidy Audio Grade transformers wound. They wind everything to order. It's maybe 2-2.5x the cost of Antek, but it's also a higher quality product (IMNSHO). Specifically, the transformer is wound without large gaps between turns, which makes for a smaller leakage field.

By the time shipping is factored in, the cost of getting a custom wound Toroidy transformer here versus a generic Antek is a little higher, but not dramatically so.

I don't care particularly for the Supreme transformers. I don't need shiny steel bells. 🙂

The leakage field of a toroid transformer is almost entirely where the wiring exits - where it essentially breaks the symmetry of the windings. So it is not unusual to have to rotate the transformer around its fixing hardware (and before the wires are cut to length!) to get absolutely minimum radiated hum field.. Then cut the wires to length.
