Hello

A little help it would be well appreciated.
Which woofer would you pick and why?
These Scan speak not bad in 80L
I need it up to 450-500Hz..
Scanspeak Discovery 26W/8534G 10" Aluminum Cone Woofer 8 ohm: Madisound Speaker Store
Also I think about on these Alcone driver
http://www.lautsprechershop.de/pdf/alcone/ac10he.pdf
here again
Alcone AC 10 HE - RumoH - Caps, coils and speakers
The Alcone has 50mm voice coil vs the Scan speak 38mm
These another interesting driver these Davis, these cost a bit more, at Europe audio I can get around 160 Euros
Davis 25-SCA-10W - RumoH - Caps, coils and speakers
Honestly I collect information to know which one I purchase. I know on the end I have to decide.
But sometimes if someone has experience with that can be a great hep.

Hello

Finally I'm done with the wood work.
Now I have a bit over 75L enclosure for the woofers.
It cost me $250 but I like the result. That round Baltic Birch goes under the driver to get a bit wider speaker faceplate.
I will go with the Alcone woofers or the Revelators from Scan Speak.
The Revelator is not cheap (have no idea about the quality).

Alcone AC 10 HE loudspeaker datasheet
The Davis has 1" voice coil I think for a 10" driver that a bit undersized.
I can be wrong but I found someone on the net after 10 min. test he decided no to keep them.
Anybody has experience these woofers please let me know.
The buttom of the enclosure is not glued yet, the reason a bit open on the picture ...
Thank you🙂

Hello
That is a calculator after the speaker(driver) data can calculate the enclosure volume. I did type these info and I get the driver simulation ..
Was
Fs
Qts
These case bass reflex
Until now I could use it, something happened now I can't open no longer.
Probably I have Java problem.
Greetings

Hello

I think you didn't understood me.
I want to do simulation like in the picture.
Golden mean posted these program at post 23. I put the driver data: Was, Fs, Qts and the enclosure size (Liter) I get the curve look at the picture.
I need to get the tuning frequency F3=??. After I have to calculate the reflex tube length.
I need a program like that because I'm unable to open it.
Pls go to post 23 and try to open it. If it open to you I know something wrong with my computer.
I hope you understand now.

Greetings Gabor

Hello
I do not want to design a enclosure. I just posted the picture, I have it.
75L
I have to run simulation with diferent woofers which one match best the enclosure.
I want to get F3 around 30Hz.
I have to chose a 10" woofer sensitivity =89Db or<
Also after I have to calculate the reflex tube length. The tube is diameter is given 3".
Please try to open the post 23 program so I can know my computer or the program not running.
That is a great program and very easy to use it. I type the speaker Was, Fs, Qts and Fb (enclosure size, Liter) and I get the F3.
After I can calculate the 3" reflex tube how long must be.

Yes, I understand everything you say.😉
Related to your first question. No it doesn't open... (That was my answer anyway.)
To the second question about a software, I posted two softwares, the first gives you the F3 like you want just look in the bottom after filling the spaces with the right values, Vb, Fb, Vas and all that. Try to find the software as I say. (It just doesn't show graphics)
Vented Audio Speaker Design Calculator - KBapps.com
Vented Audio Speaker Design Calculator - KBapps.com

The second software is one of the best for diy use, Unibox, with graphics and all parameters. You should learn how to use it if you want to model.

There are many more, tools, from various websites with this in mind.

Hello
The first program is a BS.
I type the speaker information Was- Qts- Fs and on the end I get F3=35Hz when I clearly remember with that program it was F3=30Hz.
If you look at the Alcone data they recommend F3 tuned to 28Hz from 65L but the simulation not so nice.
That is why I built 75L enclosure not 65L.
Now when I'm done with the enclosure I can't chose driver because that stupid program no longer works.
May be I don't know how to use the second but the first is a Junk.
The Strassacker not working either. Probably they sell the software.
I can't type any info in.
Thanks for your help.

Hello

That is what I want you posted at French site.
Unfortunately my French knowledge=0
When I use the Google translator I get a meaningless English.
I do not find where did you type the Scan Speak data.
I hope someone help a simple program how it was that on the 23. post.
That was very easy to use and I could get from any driver curve (simulated).
I don't know why not working anymore.
I used it almost for two weeks. I supposed to print out all the info.
Now when I'm done with the enclosure I can't use it anymore. Incredible..
What a heck is going on.
These frustrating, 10 years I can't finish these project.

Greetings Gabor

...I hope someone help a simple program how it was that on the 23. post.
Gabor, take it easy. Sometimes life can be deplorable... or what we make of it.:crying:
AJ Design Software
AJ Audio Subwoofer Box Enclosure Design Software - Sub Speaker Cabinet Building Program Downloads

You have to pay attention that some of the more simple softwares might always miss something important, like max power, Xmax. For a woofer, you can't design a box without knowing where/what the max extension of the surround is for your safety and as a precaution. Like if you design a to big of a box with to much of distortion at a certain frequency.

So your advise now to trow them all into the garbage??
I found that software, that is for sub-woofer I think.
I use them on max 10-15W.
I built several speakers (even for sale) with out programs. I tuned after my ear. These I want to build it as a last speaker.
I do not give up.
Greetings Gabor

Hello

I'm sorry I got frustrated.🙄
Specially now I want to order the woofers and that stupid simulator not working.
I used it for weeks just testing diferent drivers.
I remember the most optimal drivers were these 3
Alcone AC10 http://www.lautsprechershop.de/pdf/alcone/ac10he.pdf
They advise to be tuned F3 at 28Hz but the curve is not nice. I want to tune around
32Hz (until the curve rune nice)
Also two other Scan Speak
Scanspeak Discovery 26W/8534G 10" Aluminum Cone Woofer 8 ohm: Madisound Speaker Store
and the Revelator
Scanspeak Discovery 26W/8534G 10" Aluminum Cone Woofer 8 ohm: Madisound Speaker Store
I know you run a test from the Revelator but the curve not total flat like in these picture.
I would like if the red line not go over on the green..Also I have to know the tuning frec. that is why I would like to run simulation
All hope I remain sooner or later I can open that program again.

Greetings Gabor

Here with ALCONE AC 10 HE - 75L net
Parameters are the same so you (or us) can compare different drivers in the same box. Don't bother with that now.
Fig.1 amplitude, Fig.2 displacement, Fig.3 impedance, Fig.4 output/driver

(Note: Changes can only be done after you (or us) have a point in common between drivers for comparison - 75L BR - in this case with the best performance for each of the drivers.)
