Hello, I have plan to build pair of speaker boxes and my priority was that speaker need to be efficient, so I made plan in Boxsim with 2x Visaton BG20, 2x Visaton SC13 and 2x Visaton DT94. Can that Visaton BG20 handle bass frequencies as I will not power them by amp which is more than about 30w? Also box I putted in Boxsim is 72 liters bass-reflex.
If you need efficiency why not take a bigger driver like 15 or 18 inch?
My tip is Fane Sovereign 12 250tc you only need one fullrange driver

The 15 300tc is out of stock but maybe you get a used pair.
I modified one to a sandwich cone

72 liters bass-reflex.
Awefully small for a reflex with 1 BG20, let alone 2. Well damped about 60 litres per driver sealed, 100+ litres per driver vented/driver.
I’d listen to one FR by itself before i did anything else.

Since you are looking at a 3 way design I was going to suggest the Visaton W series units. Take a look at at this design https://www.visaton.de/en/products/3-way-speakers/experience-v-20
That uses a very similar drive unit configuration and looks like it is quite efficient. 30 W should go plenty loud unless you have a big room. It is a little larger than your design at 96L though.
The PAW 25 and 30 are very efficient and you would only need 1 of these. Should be good for 500Hz.

I'm not a Boxsim user, but won't the Max SPL tab show you the output vs. frequency at driver Xmax or your power limit (whichever is limiting)?
Does it really has to be that Visaton BG20?
Because these days I would rather recommend the SB Acoustics SB20FRPC30-8 as a 8 inch full-range.
But to answer your question.
Yes, you can use these in a bassreflex cabinet.
It only needs a pretty large cabinet (around 80-100 minimum) and the xmax is extremely limited (just 2mm).
So you very quickly will reach that cone excursion limit. (about 2-3W actually)
