Does anyone know if there is a problem with the Vinyl Engine website? I haven't been able to get it for a few days...
Loads up fine here, just can no longer log in. 🙁
Try cleaning out your browser cache. Or try an incognito window.
Maybe you need a Brexit-Buster, whatever that might be. 😉

It's not a log-in thing, it just comes up with the 'server stopped responding' thing. I've tried on my desktop, iPad, iPhone, and my wife's iPad (even though she had 103 tabs already open....) and get the same response, even in private browsing - although I'm not sure if Vinyl Engine ever works in private mode. I'll try re-setting everything and maybe try my son's PC. Thanks for all input!
Not likely that private mode could access either Vinyl Engine or HiFi Engine.
That's a big no-no. The owner is strong on site security.

It works if I use mobile data on my phone, but doesn't work using broadband here at home, either by Wi-Fi or Ethernet. Tried on PC instead of Mac, still no joy. Using Tunnelblick on iMac I can access the site but as soon as I turn off the VPN to log in it stops working (I'm aware they don't like VPNs, but surprised that I can access the site at all) I have re-booted the router, and still no joy. At least I know it's not a problem with the site per se, but must be something to do with my internet connection, so probably a subject for a thread somewhere which can help IT illiterates like me.... Thanks!
Were you getting a 403 Forbidden error? That's what I'm getting. My IP has been banned before for using a VPN (it doesn't) but this is different. I was sent a forum post notification this morning but of course I can't respond. It transpires that my IP address had made it on to a banned list for some reason. Now removed and working fine!
How were you able to resolve this?
I had a message saying that Safari couldn't open the page because the server stopped responding. I used mobile data on my phone to access the site, and then in the Off Topic forum there is a thread called Why Is My IP Address Blocked? I posted a question there and a moderator (I think the person who runs the site) sent me a link so that I could find the IP address of my router, and it was them removed from the banned list.
Thank-you @funkuncut . I've sent a message to the forum using your suggestion. Hopefully this will be resolved.🤔
One thing to be aware of is that most IP addresses are not fixed. They're leased. If you restart your router after a switch off lasting a few days there's always the chance you'll get a different IP address.could find the IP address of my router, and it was them removed from the banned list
A few days? I can't wait that long lol.If you restart your router after a switch off lasting a few days there's always the chance you'll get a different IP address.
Ahhh, no, I meant if VE unblock your IP address it may happen again should you switch the router off for a period. Like if you go away for holiday...
