I need to replace the 15" woofer in my 1999 era VMPS Larger Subwoofer. I think the one in there is an Eminence and the only ID is X3937 1056 and a date stamp 9904. VMPS wants $125 plus shipping for a new "Megawoofer" and I was hoping to find something a little cheaper that would do just as good a job.
First I think 125 is not bad at all. If you look at Parts-Express they have about 9 units below 70 dollars. The cheapest at 31 dollar have a very high Q some of the other seem to be more usable. So you might save some bucks
I blew out the 15 in my VMPS larger and called VMPS back in August and paid the $125 for the upgrade. I hope you did too. Brian Cheney (VMPS) died December 7th, and the company is out of business now. I never did figure out where he sourced that 15, but it's a good unit.
