Good evening from germany,
I've a question concerning a vintage McIntosh MCD-7000 CD-player:
Some weeks ago I bought a vintage McIntosh MCD-7000 in parts (for spares or repair) at US-ebay. Meanwhile I took several missing parts from a Philips CD-304 CD-player and could complete the McIntosh.
Now everything works fine but there is one last thing to do: Converting its transformer from 110V into 230V.
Naturally I could change the original (Philips) 110V transformer and install the 230V CD-304 transformer, but there is this little relay-board (the CD-304 has a mechanical switch) and I don't know if I only have to resolder the 4 pins (2 from plug and 2 from transformer)?
Does anybody know, if this relay-board will also work with 230V or could I get problems by destroying the relay?
Kind regards
Frank

An externally hosted image should be here but it was not working when we last tested it.
