I don't know what to tell you, except that I appreciate your wishes and let me tell you that I also have my troubles. I have three grown children, and there is no longer any possibility of having grandchildren. One of my children suffers from schizophrenia and we have had a very bad time. He is now stable, on medication, of course........... Enjoy your family holiday.

My sympathy. I had to move 4 states away from my first wife, who developed bipolar symptoms the 3rd year of the marriage. She would never visit a psychiatrist when she felt "good' (manic) only when she was depressed. Only prescribed an anti-depressant whcih she would not take. She was finally arrested for outragious behavoir. Her defense attorney negotiated the divorce because I paid him. Her father moved 6 states away, left no forwarding address, and changed his name. I joined the Army to get away, where she could not reach me on base.
Fortunately she was good looking. A wannabe boyfriend managed to get her to take one of the modern anti-psychotic drugs. She is married to him now, and reshelves books at a public library.
