Vifa Carat UPGRADE

Some years ago I bought these Carats as a DIY-kit.
Now I want to upgrade the Crossover with new and better components. Can anybody tell me which component will have which effect (or no effect at all) when upgrading.
Also I already bought new internal (high end) wiring coated with teflon.
Below the schematics of the crossover.

The components, assuming they ar the same as in the kit, don't look too shabby. You probably need to go high-end like Audiocap and Black Gate to improve.

Thanks for the link to the crossover. I surely consider using audincap MKP+ and Tritac, but how will the effect be considering the quality of the drivers. I.o.w. will this pretty costly upgrade, about 300 euro, be worth the money or will the positive effects only be marginal.

Use tritec in the coil connected to the woofer. And mkp+ for the capicitator of the tweeter. That's the best deal. Using mkp+ for the woofer or tritec for the tweeter isn't a big difference.

So in your case I would suggest the following if you really want to upgrade.

0.56 mH tritec
8.2 mH coil you can replace it with a transformer core (trafokern)(but very expensive)
8.2 uF cap with a mkp+


I know these speakers and I wouldn't upgrade because I think it's not worth it.

Thanks for the advice. The parts you mention to upgrade are less expensive and i think i´m gonna give it a try.
