Hello.
The switching power supply of my father's ViewSonic PJ255S is dead. An IC (4490 ?) has burst open as well as a resistor and one of the switching transistors is a dead short.
The power supply is divided in several boards: the broken one is the main one, with AC input and 120V output for the lamp. Plugging in into an outlet trips the fuse.
The power supply in question is made by OSRAM. It has the following markings: OSRAM 120Q/6. Serial number ZNN1884181a.
I hope that the main board is still ok (it's fed by a small DCDC converter from EPCOS directly from the 380VDC at the input of the PS).
I cannot find any spares on the web. Would anyone have any idea where to look for ?
And of course, if someone has a broken PJ255D with a working PS, I'd be interested in buying it 😉
