Video Op-amp experiance?

I am considering changing the video op amps on the output of my dvd-player.

The current ones are Toyo TK14520 which I think are very similar to Motorolas MC14577.

The data sheets don't show much details on their performance but I assume there iis room for improvement.

Does anyone have any experiance wrt these opamps and/or replacing for more exotic types?

Thx

Hej Per Anders,

The picture is great (NECHT1000 and Denon 2900) but as always when one gets used to it.......and starts to think it could get better..... 😉

This is a progressive scan PAL player and I think that means that the luma channel runs up to 5-6Mhz?

Anyway a year back I was fiddling with an old interlaced player with many PQ issues. I ended up ripping out most of the analog video circuits (based on the dual MC14577), replaced them with the Burr Brown OPA620 (single) opamps and a separate power supply.

The improvement was significant, besides a much more solid and defined picture most of the obvious artifacts disappeared, actually pretty similar to what gets discussed wrt audio.

I will not redo this one as much just yet but figure I could play with the power supply and the video opamps if it would improve things.

Now, even though I have some experience myself I can't say if the improvement I experiences was due to better power supply and/or better spec'ed opamps as I did it all at once...hence my query.

One of the possible direct replacements I've found is the
MAX4216
which seems to measure ok.

I am cautious wrt to dual opamps and would really appreciate any other experience out there?

I guess the OPA842 or MAX4108 would be good but they are single and could not be plugged in without another board which will be risky considering their bandwidth.
