Hi, I am trying to find someone who has good knowledge of fault diagnostics on Philips Video 2000 video recorders, particularly mechanical problems with the transport deck. I have several machines, none of which chew tapes but either lace up then unlace after a couple of seconds or play for a while (sometimes hours) then unlace and switch off. In this world of DVD and hard drive recording when it comes to tape I still like to use V2000 format recorders. I would be very grateful to anyone who could spare a bit of time to help me with these problems. I have a basic knowledge of electronics and V2000 service manuals. Heres hoping!
