Hello
Is it possible to repair a cracked vacuum fluorescent display that has been exposed to oxygen? Are there gases that were lost? I was thinking of reheating the seal point and closing the hole. Or is it too late?

If it's cracked and gone a grey colour in that area it's lost its vacuum. end of story , sealing it up won't do zip
If it was powered up when it has lost its vacuum, the heaters will have burned out.
Even it you had a vacuum pump to bring it down to vacuum, how are you going to reinstall after clearing the used Getter deposit. Answer; You can't.
Throw it safely in the bin and purchase a replacement.
