Hi Everybody,
May i ask you if you know some plan, schematics or even information on how to build the same VFD display vumeter as the one enclosed.
I've got 256*64 nortiake VFD, some Micrichip PICs but i need information on how i should proceed for the next building steps ...
Thank you very much for your help ...
Have a nice week end

Hi,
i'm just wondering if somebody has already build something similar.
I only try to find schematics and why not code if it is available ...
Thank you

What do you think of using a LM3914 and intreafcing it with a pic for displaying results to the VFD ?
Sorry for bothrting you but i'm trying to obtain as much info as i can ...

I think thats a picture of a squeezebox in screen-saver mode. You can choose analogue syle meters - quite groovey really 😉
Anyway, I'm very much a beginner here, but I would have thought that you should be able to use 2 of the built in ADC's on a PIC and to then draw the display (referencing the data-sheet for your display) on the vfd using straight-forward trig-functions.
Don't think you need the LM3914.
This is just my thoughts tho.....
May be easier to program in c than assembly.
