vertical cd player?

Have a stylish diy t-amp and speaker combo and in bedroom and also have cds that is waiting to be played.

is there a vertical cd player that one can see the cd while spinning. I saw a cd player being played in vertical position without a cover that looked original in Seoul street shop. (not a strip down cd walkman).

I wonder if anyone has any ideas?, laptop cd can certainly be played vertically.

I have a CD/DVD player that plays discs vertically, but the small screen is built into the cover so the disc can't be seen. I don't think you'll find a completely clear or coverless player stateside because of laser dangers and liability issues. But vertical players are out there, usually mass market boombox-type systems or the stylish side of high end.

IIRC, Fisher made them way back in the '80s. Back when you could buy a rack system with all components including the rack as a package. No component swapping. Back when they marketed 3 laser vs 1 laser. I think Macy's sold them. Probably pitiful by today's standards. . Hope that helps narrow the search.
