Hi
I'm planning to build a small tower design with a deep bass.
Why is it that i see a lot of vented designs and less Transmision Lines?
It seems that the tl goes much deeper than the same driver in a vented design...
Some advise please?
gr. Marcel

Transmission Lines are a commercial nightmare. massive weight, much more construction, etc. Vented boxes are easier to make, lighter and (sometimes) smaller. Trade off is that properly designed TLs will almost definitely give better quality sound than vented ones. If you're not into a lot of woodworking but would like something better than vented, try a voigt pipe.
Ignite,
why suggest Voight Pipes.
Pipo wanted bass, not "no bass at all".
Not even my own design would be an option with it's -3dB at 60 Hz.
