Vented box allignment.

Hi,
Has anyone tried making a small program to predict alignment of vented box by changing the coefficient, I am trying one from the appendix of paper by Small. In the paper it is said to find the positive roots of 'r' but there are four roots which one should i use?. The biggest, smallest or should use any one of the positive value?

Hi, It states "find the positive real root", not roots, quite clearly, rgds, sreten.

I assume 4 roots, positive and negative and real and complex.

wow thanks , i was using matlab to solve the roots using roots and it was giving me just four positive real number now i know something is wrong with my code
