So I’m looking for a stable, quiet input circuit I can use just upstream of an ICEpower amplifier that provides variable F3 for a 2nd order low pass filter (80-250Hz) and some gain for level matching.
The closest thing I’ve come across is this:
Variable Low Pass Filter Electronic Subwoofer Crossover Preamp Board with Gain Control
This combination is intended to power a pair of stand-alone mid-bass modules I would like to run beneath my sealed mains. I have found some plate amplifiers of questionable quality that purport to meet my needs but I’d much rather have an ICEpower unit to repurpose later if I go to a DSP based setup.

So it looks like I may be able to combine two of Rod Elliot’s projects, his Subwoofer Phase Controller (Project 103) and for a continuously variable 2nd order low pass filter requirement, his State Variable Filter (Project 148).
I still need a implement a basic gain control.
The circuits for both projects are attached.
