4" 2-way vs vandersteen 1ci (8" 6db time/phase aligned).
$300 now vs $1,750
$129 vs $1500 SPEAKERS!! (Sound demo) - YouTube
Even using headphones (yea, yea, i know).
Miking probably makes a huge difference.
Apparently, mikes are near and far field.
And who knows what it would sound like 10' away in my (your) room .........
What ya think ?
Just something to chew on and discuss.

Took the trouble... and put my cans on.
The Vandersteens do deeper low (obviously), about an octave, I'd say
It's remarkable that you really (I suppose) hear the power dip of the expensive speakers. Think some contribution of the boundaries in the high mid frequencies is responsible for that, the on axis response of both speakers will be different as well. The measured response on another YT-channel is pretty impressing for such a cheap speaker. It shows a not so good compensated baffle step (that probably is what we hear, on 2nd thought). But I guess the Vandersteens measure worse...
