I have two blown up Vandersteen 2ci's that I'm giving up on trying to fix. So off with the parts that can be used.
(2) 10" woofers. Vandersteen calls them "couplers" what ever that means. These are 10" woofers with ceramic magnets, paper cones with rubber surrounds. The woofers have been weighted to add mass to the cone for increasing the bass response. I will include the coils for a low pass filter. $40 for the pair plus shipping. These could make a great subwoofer system.
(2) midrange cone speakers. Self enclosed. Appear to be VIFA speakers, but can't tell since they have been sprayed with goop by Vandersteen to hide the origin. $40 pair plus shipping. These are used between 700 and 5Khz in the 2ci system.
(1) VIFA 8" woofer and (1) broken woofer needs reconing. $20 plus shipping.
Anyone in the seattle portland area make an offer on the cabinets. All damping material. oak caps and cloths are ok
