(A). UV glass/fresnal/fresnal/IR glass

or

(B). IR glass/fresnal/fresnal/UV glass

and why that way?

thank you

ok i dont get it ... if the uv/ir glass is supposed to protect the lcd .... shouldnt they both be between the bulb and the lcd ?
bulb--uv/ir--fresnel-lcd-fresnel-projeciton lens ? remember the more stuff inbetween the bulb and the lens the darker the picture
10% light decreass per sheet of glass ! or something like that ...

IR then UV then fresnels

IR filter near the lamp to keep most of the heat out of the rest of the box. (Also keeps your UV filter from melting!)

Then the UV filter to protect your fresnels and LCD from UV damage. (Lexan XL10 from Home Depot is fine.)

Then fresnel/fresnel/LCD, or fresnel/LCD/fresnel.

You can use the Lexan right up against the first fresnel to support it, if you like.

Most of the light from the lamp and reflector should either go through the IR filter or hit an aluminum shield around the lamp. Lots of designs use an aluminum box around the lamp with a hole for the IR filter, and both long ends open for air flow. Fan goes on one end to pull air around the lamp and dump it outside the box. Very cool-running design.
