Hello all,
I was asked about this by a friend. What the heck is UTC or "ultratube" circuit technology? Behringer touts it for their amps.
He says he has a schematic, and has somewhat described the circuit, but hasn't yet brought in the schematic for me to see. Best I can think is that it might just be an SRPP circuit.
Anyone know?
Thanks in advance,
Gabe

I've seen this UTC thing on Behringer's website. They claim it can deliver warmth (he he) and low noise.
Really, guys, Behringer sucks... This is lack of technology. They work the tubes at very low voltages, and it´s very unlinear and sounds like #@!%¨&
OK Ladies and Gentlemen,
I appreciate the opinions, but... does anyone know what the circuit is supposed to be? I mean, I saw one site claiming that the circuit is patent pending.
I find it amazing that after almost 100 years of tube technology, there can still be a claim of a patent on a tube circuit, considering that every circuit design imaginable for both tubes and transistors has pretty much been done.

A second-hand claim of a patent application is different than a patent application. A patent application is different than a patent. And a defendable patent is different than... most patents granted today.
