Using two different woofers in an OB

Hi,
sorry if it is a somewhat dumb question (and I'm asking it in the FR forum because I would use an FR "above" the woofers): is it a no go to use two different woofers in an OB? I mean one with high sensitivity and another with a lower one, in order to eliminate the baffle loss. And the whole thing with a passive xo.

Decades ago, the Magnavox company, who produced expensive console stereos, used a system of two different woofers in some of their consoles.
Each woofer had a different magnet structure and build, and naturally resulted in different resonant properties.
When installed in the console, this "smoothed out" any peaks of bass that would result in "one note bass" booming.

Wharfedale SFB. Troels did similar, I think he has links in his article.

Actually it can work with only one high sensitivity woofer and a baffle step compensation built in the XO. See Troels' OB11, OB15.
