I am just wandering that the Ferrite EI/EE core is ok for OT or not.
I think the Troidal and Ferrite EI/EE transformer has the same core.
And The EI core has air gap and easy to wind by hand.
Is there any reason to against using the core for OT?
I need your feed back before try out the core for OT.
EI PT core steel is really not meant for audio use😱
I meant EI core for SMPS transformer. That may handle audio frequency well.
I never spot any discussion about the core for audio use and I wish to know why it
is not suitable for OT.

I have a question - has anyone formed a preference for which core material they use when making toroidal output transformers?
I see MPP are “up to 10KHz” and then ferrite up to 1MHz (ie 1.2-1.3 for example) then powered iron above that.
I see you can design for a frequency range but theres a bit of experience in getting the best winding/insulation configuration for the frequency range.
B=Erms/(4.44NfAx10^-8) should say if it’s going to saturate.
