I am wondering if anyone on here knows if a fresnel from a big screen tv , the Big one, will work for a diy projector. I am planning on using a 15" lcd and a fresnel from a big screen and cutting it to size. The only difference between a OHP fresnel and this one is that OHP fresnels are doubled and this one isnt. I am wondering if this doubling of the fresnel is absolutely necessary. The fresnel I have is high quality and big so I want to find a way to use it. thanks in advance🙂
i would be skeptical of it working,
one way to check is to go ahead and try to use it without cutting it to size, shouldnt make any difference.
Anyhow, if you end up NOT using it, i would be interested in buying it, or trading it for OHP fresnels (i have 4 sitting around)....
