Using one KT77 and one EL34 per side?

Hi-- I run a Rogue Audio Cronus amplifier with Gold Lion re-issue KT77s...One of the KT77s went bad (runaway/redplate)

So I have a bunch of Svetlana "winged-C" EL34s still... I pulled the bad tube, placed an EL34 in its place, did the same to the other channel, and biased em all at 35mA as per the manual.

It sounds fine. But....what is the harm here? This can't be ideal...Can it? Would love to hear your thoughts in the interim (I ordered a new matched pair of KT77).

I would have put the two KT77s on one channel and the EL34s on the other. That would be the lowest risk of another meltdown.
