Using one 220mm for 17" LCD

I have an question about the frenel for a 17"LCD. Since a +700mm fresnel is not available, instead of using 2 unsplit fresnels (330mm and 790mm), Can i just use one 220mm fresnel(then put the light arc at 330mm away) since their combination focal length should be similar. I know fresnel works best at their focal length but if i used only one 220mm fresnel, will my result acceptable?

i thought this also, never tried but i think it will work. You would have a homogeneous light distribution cos the light source is farther. but you would need stronger condenser lens also as the solid angle from the bulb is smaller.
