Using IDE CDROM as a Audio CD Player

Hi, I have 3 IDE CD-RW (2 Plextor LG and 1). I am interested in building 3 Audio CD players. I've seen here (in the diyaudio.com), there are plenty of kits and schematics, many of them to buy.

Many links to those kits or schematics do not work (are broken links). So my question is: someone has a schematic, a PCB and also the code for the microcontroller to control basic functions of a CDROM?

These functions are:
- Play
- Pause
- Stop
- Next
- Prev.
- FFW
- RWD.
- Repeat (one or all)

Other functions such as random or program would also be interesting.

Someone knows a project like this? that is simple and works ok?

Thank you very much, greetings!

I bought one from slowgay off of e-bay. I haven't had time to test it out, but it appears to be of good quality and he seems to be a reliable seller. For $20 it's not worth it to build yourself.

Mine is going to be used with an old Philips CD-RW that's been stripped down. Electronics (DAC, regulators, etc), wood casing, and power supply are this week's projects. Hopefully next week the aluminum chasis plates will arrive and I can start assembly.
