(not sure if this belongs in the subwoofer or headphone section -- seemed like it would be of more interest to the headphone crowd!)
Hey guys, just wanted to post about a fun experiment I just tried: using a bass transducer as a subwoofer substitute for my headphones 😱
I lie down and set the transducer on my chest, then cross my arms over it to give it a bit of weight and couple the bass into my rib cage.
Not exactly what I would call high fidelity, but it is certainly a lot of fun 😀
The transducer is an AuraSound AST-2B-4, available on amazon for about $60. The amp is an eBay cheapie (about $15), just search for TDA7498.

US Dept. of Health & Human Resources--Warning !! -do not do this at home as it can effect the autonomous nervous system --Heart Beat affected .
Not kidding -- various USA universities of medicine and Japanese medical professors conducted experiments on this subject and the results aren't good --especially for men who are the majority heart attack victims not helped by high testosterone.
Even a single blow to the chest can upset the heart rhythm in susceptible people .

There is commercial product – wearable strap (named edge), it has been released recently. Why not?

Look Enregistree , in the USA and now UK people walk into movie theaters and get well above safety levels of "noise " blasted into their ears .
Some ears bleed the "Big Media " refuse to tone it down especially the adverts ,as a result very large numbers of US citizens go deaf early in life --- its called "Freedom of Action " and if people want to kill off the nerve ending in their ears who am I to stop them ?
But warn them I will I can supply facts & figures straight from the USA as I have many friends there belonging to a large number of organizations for the Safety & Protection of the Ordinary citizen in a large number of fields .
Of course its played down and you know why but I have spent years listening to people complaining about it both here in the UK and the USA and if people want to go ahead and give themselves future problems that's up to them , by the way have you seen the increasing profits in the USA audiology division ( Big Hearing ) ?
I am not against people making money that's the "American Way " but they must be made aware of the consequences of their actions.
I worked in a hospital in the UK and seen first hand people being given shock treatment to bring them back to life , people with weak hearts /congenital weaknesses etc its no "laughing matter " from my point of view.
