Just want to make a note,
Cores as such may not work well at 10khz or above due to possible core losses and the high internal capacitance that they exhibit using the windings that come on them.
A complete rebuild would be required in order to lower the internal capacitance of 400 pf or more.
But I think that they would be okay up tp the 1khz to 5khz range as even that low of a range will greatly increase the power capability of such cores.
But that will have to be found experimently.
I feel that it is definitely worth a try,It is one of the many projects I plan to try some time.
