I have seen 2 normal caps tied in series 'head to head' and use as non-polar cap. Can 2 normals caps be tied in parallel 'head to tail" as non-polar ?

That would defeat the purpose and just be a polarized cap of half value(asuming the two are the same). Each cap must be twice the intended value and connected head to head in order to be non-polar. IMO, there are better ways, i e a non-polar cap.😀
from my understanding, a nonpolar/bipolar cap is 2 polar ones tied head to head, just done internally and not heavily advertised.
how about a search?
try polar - you get too many hits
try *polar "in title only" box
or as an exercise you might add a username too to see what I've said on this subject too many times to want to repeat

Hi jcx,
I did the search according to what you tell me to do, but sorry, nothing was returned.
My question is a bit different, isn't it? All the post I have gone thru is about 'head to head' or 'tail to tail' in series but what I am asking is 'head to tail' in parallel. Hope I had made myself clear and you know what I have in mind.

As stated above you CANNOT put polarised caps in parallel to make a non-polarised cap!
In such a case one of the caps will always be in "backwards" for a given ploarity signal.
The term "normal" isn't helpful here: There are non-polarised and polarised caps, both are "normal".
