use as a subwoofer processor, bridged amp adaptor
Hi there all - As was suggested here http://www.diyaudio.com/forums/subwoofers/215031-woofer-driver-needs-home-built.html can the minidsp be used as a subwoofer crossover/processor wherein it takes an unbalanced stereo pair input signal, split the signal at a crossover freq of about 150hz, then apply a linkwitz transform (values to be deterined), and then output a pair of signals which are identical, but with one phase inverted (in order to drive a pair of bridged amp modules)?

Sorry for the delay.. we missed your post somehow!
I don't see a problem to perform what you're looking at.. Maybe easiest that you mix before inputing the DSP (e.g. resistor @ inputs to mix L&R). Then feed it to a 4way advanced plug-in and you'll have all the processing you need (custom biquad for LR + phase inversion)

Since my question is somewhat similar to aspringv's I'll put it here. I am currently building a subamp. I use a minidsp for front/sub filtering and was wondering if there are problems to be expected when using 1 "normal" subout and 1 "inverted" to drive a bridge setup or will using a DRV134 or similar work better?
Since using an inverted signal is easier I would prefer that.
