UPS to Transformer to Monster HTS 3600 mkii - weird problem

I moved back to India from US with all my audio/video equipment. Since the voltage is different here (220v), I am using a transformer. The connection is as follows:

Eaton 9145 6kin Double Conversion UPS --> Powerbright 2000W Transformer --> Monster HTS 3600 mkii --> TV/AV Receiver etc.

During voltage fluctuation if the input to UPS (from mains) goes below 220v, the Monster HTS 3600 does not start or shuts off immediately after starting. If the voltage is around 220/230v, the Monster starts but shows 141v as input voltage. When I shut off the mains and let the UPS run on the battery or the if the input voltage is around 250v , everything works fine and input voltage on Monster display is ~110v.

Now that made me suspect the UPS, but in all these scenarios the output of the UPS is constant 220v and transformer output is constant 110v.

Could there be anything else in the output that's driving the Monster HTS 3600 crazy? Please help. I am hesitant to run all the equipment without the Monster HTS even though the supply is coming through double conversion UPS. Since there is a transformer in between I want one more layer of protection.
