Phew! after two hours of connecting and tidying up, I finally finished re wiring my car audio system with better speaker cables!
Results were good. but... the highs seems too outstanding now...
what can I do? someone suggested changing the tweeters..

summation OFC cables.
Is it? die lor... for the rear speakers ok. Front tweeters bright. Could that be the problem?

What Is The Cross-Section Shape ?....
Moreso, I meant the physical construction of the cables that you are now using.
Low inductance is the key factor, and OFC is not so important as you may be lead to believe.
Eric.

hi again! thanks for advising!
OK.. let's see.. its transparent and there about perhaps 8 guage cables... thicker than the zip cords that were used previously.
copper cables definitely.

Putting an RC network across the tweeters will help, also a series resistor to pad the level down.

You mean gauge #8 or what? Perhaps you should try adding one or two thin wires to this cable and see if things improve.
One of the good things of using CAT-5 cables as speaker wire is that each cable consists of 8 thin solid-core wires.
If the cables you use are solid core or too thick, bass notes will be improved and highs impaired. It sounds as if that is happening to your system after the change.
Have you tried bi-riwing, with thick cable to the woofer and thin to the tweeter? Can you do that?
