Is it worth 'upgrading' the output transformers on this KT88 SE UL amp:

or would it be strongly into the region of very diminishing returns and I should save the money for a new build at a later date?
Currently I'm running edcor CXSE25-5K.
If it is worth it what would you suggest?
I've got Electraprint iron in my PP 6V6 amp and like it but have also looked at the ISO FC-20S. I've also looked at toroidy but not sure if that is an upgrade or just something different and it wouldn't fit on the current chassis.

One of the virtues of that topology is that stability isn't thrown off by low quality output transformers.
The ISO FC-20S is a pretty nice 2.5K transformer, but a horrendous 5K transformer. This is pretty clearly indicated in the datasheet. It would be worse to run that transformer as a 5K OT than to just keep the Edcor transformers you have now.
Monolith and Sowter are my go to brands for high end iron. You could also look at Intact Audio and Electra-print.

I knew the ISO looked better at 2.5 but didn't realize how bad it was at 5

I've heard Sowter mentioned a lot but never really looked closely at them. There SE09 has some impressive specs, reasonable DC resistance, fairly low inductance (especially for the frequency range). I wish more places published all the specs like that.
